Flipping the Flipped Classroom

Thrown in at the deep-end with a new cohort of students, in a foreign country, I quickly realised that teaching in a traditional way was not going to cut it. We had far too much content to cover and explaining the meaning of every word to a non-native English speakers was far too time consuming. After all this was a scientific course, not an English language one.
